Photo of Ironworks BBQ, located just next to the far corner of the Austin Convention Center. Big slabs of meat, rolls of paper towels, lots of fat, yum! All the BBQ places in Austin had a dry rub on their meat, with cold BBQ sauce as an option at the table (many people skipped it). Ironworks was easy to get to from the show, and fairly good (terrible side orders, tho). If you want something quick and relative healthy, go for a beef or turkey sandwich. The pork ribs were really dried out, but the beef ribs were great. I tried out 4 different BBQ places in Austin (it's the place to do it!) and Stubb's Beef ribs were my favorite. Stubb's is just 4 blocks from the convention center, and also hosts some of the bigger concerts (Sonic Youth played there during the show).
